Universal Studios Orlando has "permanently" installed walk through metal detectors at the entrances to three popular thrill rides: The Incredible Hulk, Dragon Challenge and Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket.
Park officials state the metal detectors are a safety precaution to prevent guests from boarding the rides with loose objects which may be thrown from the ride presenting a projectile hazard to others. Secure lockers are provided for temporary storage of personal belongings.
