Good morning gents and gals, my Dad just passed away a couple of weeks ago and my step mom mentioned she was interested in getting a gun for personal protection and if I had any ideas for her. She is 72 and I dont think she has ever shot a gun to my knowledge. Obviously before I give her a gun I will go with her to a gun safety course and take her shooting to get her comfortable with it.
My plan right now is that I think a revolver is her best bet and I'm not sure if a .38 might not be a little much for her, I'm thinking about getting her a S&W 531C 22 mag snubnose with a shrouded hammer.
Any ideas, comments or suggestions?
