My Son is wanting a triangular handguard, no case deflector to use as a shooter & competition as stock gun. He claims his hands slip on anything other than tri-guards & the case deflector interfers with his sight. He started with an Armalite 20" 7 years ago, won a Les Baer custom with my DPMS patrol carbine (original model). I can't get him unstuck off of these things. He shot 1 at a match scored lower but he wants it.
Any suggestions for an affordable solution locally cheapest has been in the $2,000 area for non-matching numbers. You should see what he wants in a 1911, garbage sights and high rjection port.
His tastes are expensive & at his age I had been working for 5 years in Summers. Mom has spoiled him while I made a living. Bad part is hell'uva shot.
