Hi all, I thought it would be interesting to attempt to show how close the new G43 is to the Kahr PM9.
I've read a lot of posts comparing the G43 to the Shield, or how it's hardly bigger than a G26, etc.
I own a G26 and a G27 which are in my regular EDC rotation.
I've owned 2 Shields, fabulous guns but in the end they didn't
feel much different IWB than my G26 so both times I owned them, (couple of years apart) I wound up selling them.
In my MOST humble opinion, the new G43 is closer to the PM9
than it is to the Shield (a much bulkier gun) or the G26 (a much, much bulkier gun).
My PM9 has been in my EDC rotation for over 5 years and usually rides in a Nemesis pocket holster.
If you look at the pics below, the G43 is "nearly" identical to the PM9 in all dimensions except the slide/bbl length.
If you are familiar with the PM9/CM9/CM40 series, imagine the same gun with a tad (about 1/2") more length and you'll have an idea of what the G43 will carry like.
It is pocketable for me in cargo shorts or dress pants.
(not jeans).
