I live in Israel.
Israel has a very restrictive gun carry policy,
and the government is trying reduce the number legal guns by all means.
Until so far, the government banned any replacement/repairs for owners that have a license before 1996. If your gun is broken, then you say goodbye to your license/gun forever.
Recently due to terrorist attacks, government allows replacements.
I don't know when this window of opportunity will be closed again..
Now for the question.
I have a gen-3 G-17 made in Austria, manufactured in 2004.
Serial GBLxxx, EOF on the barrel hood.
Shot ~3000-4000 rounds.
I don't worry much for the longevity of the metal parts,
as much as for the plastic.
Given the fact that there may be no other opportunity to replace - Should I replace?
Another point - All new glocks in Israel are US made.
Thanks in advance,...
