Some time ago when Colorado passed its horrid new gun laws, a lot of people were sure this would hurt the hunting industry in Colorado.
I stated it would have little to no effect. People were very vocal in disagreement. I said time would tell.
Here you go.

This is not a call out thread. I am not mentioning any names in an effort to avoid the "I told you so." or gloating. It must also be noted, the last thing I am trying to do is be "pro" regulation. I say to you, I wish I had been wrong.
Having said that. The point I was trying to make then, I can make now without the naysayers. This isnt as big of an issue as some of you think. They can ban this and ban that, and a lot of people you think care dont.
Very few people are going to stop doing something they want to do because of principle. If you count on that the chances are high you are going to be wrong. In this specific case, hunters will throw other gun owners under the bus to go hunting. It also shows that gun owners who cared about the new laws (didnt like them) either didnt or failed to apply enough pressure to matter. (I dont know if it is because they couldnt or didnt)
Even when it sucks, the facts are important to know. Going forward, when circumstances like this arise again, we have a pretty good idea what will happen if something new isnt tried.
