I have mixed emotions. At face value, it sounds like an option worth exploring. Problem is, until at least some correctional/detention agencies across the country get their heads out of their butts and come up with a better set of standards for hiring and training, there will continue to be entirely too many people among the ranks who ought to be wearing an inmate's uniform themselves. I can think of one particular facility in my area that is known have its ranks infested with STG members. I think we need to get our house in order first, and then consider measures such as this.
Any thoughts?
