DRT .380 acp Too Long?

mardi 24 février 2015

My friend has been working the kinks out of her G42. Now that it's finally proving itself reliable, she picked up some DRT hollow point rounds along with some others to test.

The OAL of the DRT cartridges is too much to even load into the magazines. Not even the first round will load into any one of her four Glock mags.. Anyone else experienced this?

I told her to return them... even though it's not store policy to take return ammo, I told her I'd go with her. I think they will take care of her. Shes the widow of a retired Army 1sgt., bought the pistol, and both her extra mags (came with 2), and a ton of other stuff from them. I don't think it'll be an issue, but this is something I haven't seen that I can remember. I mean, I've seen some out of spec rounds out of a box before, but all twenty rounds?

There has to be someone else that knows about this. Is it a DRT ammo thing? A G42 thing?(Not that it needs more issues!)

Any ideas on ammo? XTP and Gold Dots are scarce around here in .380. I would order her some if I knew they would be reliable in her pistol, but we are still in trial and error with carry ammo..

Thanks, and be safe.
