Looking for input

First, sorry if this has been asked all ready. Here goes. I'm looking at purchasing an AR Weapon System. Need some help as to who makes a very reliable one. I have looked at Daniel Defense, Double D armory, Palmetto State Armory, M&P 15. I have been told by a couple off dealers and Custom Shops to stay clear of Bushmaster and Colt. I am open to any and all input/thoughts. Are there any other manufacturers that I should look at or stay away from.
