I know most people don't like the finger grooves on the gen3/4 pistols, or they're fingers don't fit them correctly, but I happen to like them. They fit my hand perfect.
I bought a gen2 G23 new back in '92 and I've always used a Hogue grip sleeve on it for the finger grooves, but don't like the palm swells that much.
I recently bought a Gen3 G27 and I really like the grip feel. I decided to shoot my G23 without the Hogue sleeve for a while, but I didn't like it and the arch cutout at the bottom in the front rubbed my finger wrong. Never noticed before because the sleeve covers that cutout.
I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to me to either buy a new gen3/4 G23 and sell the gen2 or trading it. I just don't know if the hassle and cost of selling/trading is worth it just for finger grooves...lol
