Let me preface by saying that I've owned one in the past and it was ok but at the time I'd not settled down on Glock as my primary choice for handguns so I sold it to get something else.
Let me also say that I'm heavily invested in 9x19mm with my G26 having 3, 10+2 mags for it with 3, G17, 17 round mags and also two 31 round mags(33 round minus the +2, they went on the G26 mags.) and I also have loading dies, bullets, ammo(1400+ rounds) and stuff all for the G26 in 9x19mm.
Given all of that and not being able to find a full size G17 in my price range I saw a Blue Lable, like new G22 on our local "guns for sale" forum with 3 mags, night sights and stuff for $425. I'm so tempted to pick it up but then I'd have to get a set of loading dies, brass and bullets to load 40 cal and also boxes for the loaded ammo and another larger storage box to put those boxes into. I'd not have to get the night sights so that'd save me $100 or so but it's just getting into another caliber and all plus I'll probably want a 357Sig barrel for it so that's another set of dies to buy.
It's just hard for me to logically move to 40cal but it's also hard to not knowing it's a popular LEO caliber and is as easy to find as the 9x19mm anymore.
So what should I do? Hold out for a G17 in my price range to come onto the market(which may never happen) or jump on the G22 and bite the ol' bullet and get stuff to load for it?
