This week is one of those weeks.
I have the Feds in doing an audit. Always a little nerve racking when the Federal Agents show up.
The first part I think is the worst. They show up. Show you badge, ID card, Federal law that gives them the authority to come in and inspect/audit. Then the official form comes with one spot blank and they ask for the answer: who is the most responsible person for the company.
They then go through a short spiel about what is privileged information/documents that they cannot ask for without a court order.
Then: "Shall we get started?"
It hasn't been too bad, but when it is nerve racking when they ask for document after document and it is a somewhat adversarial relationship.
