I'm curious to find out if anyone shoots .22 at home in their basement.
Every now and then I pull out a stack of phone books and let a couple rip. I have a few rifles I enjoy tinkering on and after I make a change I want to "Break the silence".
I shoot Remington Goldens, Fiocchi, and an Aguila Sub Sonic 40 grain lead round nose that shocked me with its penetration. It shot through a stack of books and 6 inches into a scrap piece of mahogany.
