Posted this in another forum as well, but more opinions can never hurt. So here it goes! It's been very well documented that Springfield Range Officer 9mm is a very good 1911, even if it is chambered in 9mm. (Haha) That's been my general idea at least and that my next 1911 would be RO in 9mm. Especially, since I'm a Springfield fan it was kind of no brainier. I mean what's there not to like, great price, fit and just overall a good pistol for the price. However, am I being biased on this? Is there other 9mm 1911 that stends out as much as RO does (in category) that I'm not aware of? I know some of you will ask for my budget, so let's say between $1000 and $1500. I want to stay closer to RO's price of course, but if there's a better 9mm 1911 (or one that I should consider) out there that cost couple hundred bucks more I don't mind saving up a bit longer and getting that instead. So what do you guys think? Any and all opinions are appreciated.
